Industrial Rope Access

Industrial Rope Access was developed from caving techniques and quickly evolved into the ever expanding industry it is today. Recognised throughout the UK, more and more business sectors are turning to the flexibility Rope Access has to offer.

All technicians are trained and assessed by IRATA - Industrial Rope Access Trade Association, which acts as the industry's governing body and is fully recognised by the HSE.

There are 3 levels of competency within Rope Access. Promotion to the next level requires 1000 logged and traceable hours of actual rope work and the successful completion of an appropriate, independently assessed training course.

Technicians always work in pairs so as to facilitate rescue techniques. A level 3 supervisor is present on every contract. Double ropes and anchors are used to arrest any fall in the unlikely scenario of one system failing. All tools and equipment are suitably attached to prevent any accidental dropping.

Rope Access has the lowest incident rate amongst all other methods for working at height in the UK. Safety is the priority concern for ProAltus, ensuring procedures are carried out in line with our strict health and safety policy.

ProAltus do not use costly scaffolding or large machinery, which makes rope access a very cost effective solution when compared to conventional access methods.

Rope Access not only offers access solutions to otherwise unsolvable scenarios but also provides a viable alternative to all other access methods with little environmental impact and minimal disruption to clients.

ProAltus have a team of multi-skilled, experienced technicians which are capable of completing all rope access jobs including cleaning, maintenance, inspection and installation.
